"STORM indeed! An adrenaline-accelerating Cat-Five ride on land and sea, in the air, and surging through cyberspace, at one point pitting computer-hacking paramilitaries against U.S. Navy SEALs." - Lt. Col. W. Thomas Smith Jr. (Joint Services Detachment, S.C. Military Dept.), author, columnist, internationally recognized military expert, and a former U.S. Marine "Dave Pearson has delivered an unforgettable one-of-a-kind adventure. With distinctive realism, STORM takes you on a thrill ride filled with cyber-terrorism and Special Ops. This high-tech international tale is a Mach-3, edge-of-your-seat, cyber-thriller. Must read!" -- LTG Thomas McInerney, USAF (Ret.) ________________________________________

Decent premise, but not very well-written. The flow of the plot seems choppy. For instance, the two separate chapters on what the YUMA and ECHO Seal Teams are doing before they get to the island seem irrelevant unless a reader has no idea whatsoever what Navy SEALS do--which seems unlikely. I also objected to the excess of profanity. John Grisham writes phenomenal thrillers with barely any profanity, even by the toughest characters, and the reader still gets the impression of gritty nastiness. Having said this, I am nevertheless somewhat curious to see what Dutch is up to in the promised sequel, "Storm Surge," and will likely purchase it, if it's cheap enough.Product details

Storm Dave Pearson 9780615359977 Books Reviews
This book has a nice blend of Cyber technology and page-turning military action. I think the author did a great job of providing both elements with obvious expertise. The intricate plot did not bog down with techy details. Good character development and palpable tension between the protagonist and his old hacker buddies. A nice twist in the end places this novel on a higher shelf than most cyber-tech efforts and begs a sequel from its author.
I love to read adventure books, and this one did not disappoint! Dave Pearson takes you on a believable, yet amazing adventure from page one. It's technical from computer hacking and military (navy seal) standpoints, but Pearson does such a good job with explanations, that you feel like you're right there. It's suspenseful and takes quite a few twists and turns that keep it interesting. Pearson's storytelling ability and descriptive narration make this a superb book. Five stars!
Read this book cover to cover in one shot. Couldn’t put the book down after the first chapter. Waiting for the sequel.
This book is a bona-fied page turner. It is truly a "must read." Mr. Pearson masterfully blends the world of cyber terrorism/warfare with that of conventional special ops warfare. If you enjoy techno-thrillers, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
This was a terrific beginning to what is hopefully a long series of STORM novels. Dr. Pearson creates a thriller out of a blend of modern and futuristic warfare. I also appreciated the explanations of the computer hacking and military terminology throughout the book, which engrosses the reader even more. Can't wait for the next installment of Dutch and the gang's adventures!
STORM was a good read despite its unusual category.
Since most cyber-thrillers are esoteric and popular only with fans, STORM is a break into mainstream fiction that appeals to a wider audience.
STORM would make a great movie if Hollywood chose actors like it did when movies were black and white.
Navy Seals + Para-military group of hackers? What could be more exciting? The book was a page-turner that I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm looking forward to Dave Pearson's next novel.
